Just wanted to post this on here to try helping a good cause. A friend of mine from work is doing a 500km Cycle ride from the O2 Arena to Paris for The Mark Gorry Foundation to raise awareness for testicular cancer.

Please read the below and if you can spare a few ££££'s even just £1 it will help the cause and a worth while charity!

Many Thanks

Hi Everyone,

As some of you already know (from me going on and on about it), I am putting my body on the line for a great cause, www.themarkgorryfoundation.co.uk which was setup by Mark Gorry himself to raise awareness and help others who are unfortunately have Testicular Cancer.

The webpage is full of info about TC and Mark’s brave fight trying to beat this, for the emotional people amongst us I’ll be honest it will get the tear ducts working overtime but please read as much as you can to have an understanding of the illness and what Mark went through.

I have giving you all a breakdown of the challenge ahead of us and all the links required to help me raise as much money as possible.

I have setup a Virgin giving page for friends/family and colleagues to sponsor me online. Please visit ….. http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TomJenkins

60 people from Ventura & O2 are taking on the London to Paris Cycling Challenge.
Having worked together for 18 years, Ventura chose O2 to join them on a fantastic cycling challenge.
The task is to cycle from London to Paris for charity in May 2011, in aid of The Mark Gorry Foundation.
Set off Friday 6th May 2011 from The O2 Arena and complete the challenge Monday 9th May 2011 in Paris.
Mark Gorry battled cancer in 2009, during which time he had the idea of setting up a foundation to support those who helped him through his illness; a foundation that would positively impact the treatment of cancer in the future as well as work at raising awareness amongst young men of the symptoms of Testicular Cancer.
Although Mark was employed by O2, he spent a great amount of time at Ventura during the launch of a new system; therefore Ventura chose to support MGF for this challenge.
30 cyclists from Ventura, Rotherham will be joined by 30 cyclists from O2 sites in Glasgow, Leeds, Bury, and Preston Brook (Runcorn).
For these 60 cyclists the hard work & punishing training schedule begins as they prepare to cycle almost 500km from London to Paris!

For more information about The Mark Gorry Foundation please see www.themarkgorryfoundation.co.uk

Thank you all very much for any support you give me.
