Yesterday saw the final dénouement in the tragic saga of the Team Pescarolo when the liquidator placed the whole of the company under the hammer. Two cars without engines, tools, moulds and tragically all his trophies, the latter with a reserve price of but 2,000€. The whole estimated at but a mere 250,000€.
Then two knights in shining armour, the owner of OAK racing and another from Magny Cours stepped forward, made an offer of 400,000€ for the whole company which was quickly accepted by the liquidator. Then a moment of intense emotion when they handed the keys of the company back to Henri.
Let us hope that we will again see the Pescarolo cars - even just one as Henri himself hopes for this year - on the track in June 2011.

What a noble thing to do.
Sounds like the dept Sarthe and motul are on board as sponsors, hopefully he can now get some others so he has a worthwhile team, Pug could bung him a couple of old engines (hopefully not this years LM ones)
Good luck to the grumpy old sod.

There are over 1,000 people here in the Sarthe who have donated a minimum of 10€ to the cause. The good news is he has found a new sponsor and hopefully, the ACO accepting his entry, there will be one car running in the 24 hours.

Reconstruction of Pescarolo Team continues with a partnership agreement with the French specialist Motul lubricants for the 2011 season. A new chapter for cooperation almost continuously since early Henri Pescarolo in Formula 2 in the 60s, and which formed is naturally extended when he decided to hang up his helmet to start his own stable in Endurance.
For Henri Pescarolo, the signing of this partnership is a great satisfaction: "With Motul, we have always enjoyed with custom lubricants formulations specifically tailored to our engine supplier. Their presence with us is a guarantee of reliability for next season ". Motul is also a century and a half of history, and more than 50 titles of World Champion car and motorcycle, including Endurance, World GT1 Le Mans 24 Hours and Spa, Le Mans Series, Andros Trophy, Paris Dakar, 24, Rallycross ... and titles won by LMP1 Pescarolo Le Mans Series in 2005 and 2006.
With this new support, Pescarolo Team continues to work hard in preparation for the 2011 season.
