.............have big ideas, do they have the money to match those ideas and make them happen? Seem to have a top line designer on board.

Those Norfolk folk have their eleven fingers crossed.

days and 24 stories for 2010: Lotus in all directions

19/24 - Sunday, December 19 - Lotus in all directions
2010 will the year of the comeback of Lotus through competing in Formula 1. For endurance, it was not until 2012, fifteen years after the last engagement of the mark in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

GT4, GT3, GTE and LM P2 ... In 2012, the British Racing Green shines on all fronts! The design of the prototype LM P2 is assigned to Paolo Catone, one of the fathers of the Peugeot 908 ( article here ). "A first step , according to Claudio Berro Director Sportif:  keep in mind the idea of running in the category queen when the time comes " .

While waiting to aim for overall victory, Lotus revives a category dear to its founder: that of the prototype light. It is this obsession with weight, which in 1957, allowed Colin Chapman, the brilliant creator of the brand, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans to the performance index. The thin aluminum body and small engine (745 cm3) of the Eleven did wonders in this classification, the true ancestor of the Michelin Green X Challenge .

In the sixties, Lotus endurance gradually forsook the benefit of the car. It was not until 1993 to see two Esprit Sport 300 again at the start ... without success. In 1997, Elise " body-buildée " shows itself more competitive, although dominated by the McLaren F1, Porsche 911 and other Nissan R390. She leaves at night and remains to this day, the last car of the mark for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Julien Hergault

What a shame they can't make it in time for next year's race!  Will be nice to see the Lotus badge back out there

Oh yes it does.

Unless it raced in an ACO rules race sometime during 2010, which of course the Lotus hasn't.

Think you will find the complete car is invisable.

Can anyone really see this and all the other projects lotus are supposed to have all getting of the ground?

No.

Am I alone in finding all the Billy Big Potatoes stuff coming out of Hethel just now a little tiresome?

I can't see it happening. They will burn loads of money on these projects and then the parent company will realise its getting sod all back for it's investment and drop it like a hot potato. Formula One is going to destroy Lotus again.

I'm finding all of their propsed projects more than a little weird, just how in the hell are they going to finance all this without runnng the company into the ground?  As I've said before, I'm perfectly happy remembering Lotus the way it was...
