My brother and I are going to be at the Belgian Grand Prix in 2 weeks. I booked my tickets today and signed up to pick up a Kangaroo TV. Has anyone here been to the Grand Prix? I have general admission tickets. Will i be fighting a huge mob to see anything or are there good spots with a nice view of eau rouge?
EDIT
I am trying to camp the night before. I cant seem to find where I can book this.

Yes I have been - positively the last GP I ever go to. Although I love Spa as a circuit and wouldn't miss the 24, for the GP it's a nightmare. Best bet is to park and camp at Les Combes. Camping etc is locally organised on a turn up as early as you can for a good spot basis. I don't know what the situation is for the GP but it's the best non grandstand bit with access all down the Kemel straight to Raidillion or down to Pouen (sp?) surely one of the most spectacular corners in motor sport. Eau Rouge etc is all grandstands and thus if you don't have a seat you can't see the action except a few glances from the very busy sales areas at the bottom of Raidillion. Enjoy. And next time you go to Spa - see a proper race!

I shall be leaving on Sunday for Spa as I'm marshalling there again, at Post 12 which is Pouhon, and as already mentioned is an excellent specy spot. If you camp at Les Combes then you can walk under the track to the huge bank where theres loads of space but get there early as it soon fills up. Along with Monza this is my favourite circuit, I firts went to the GP there in 1970 which was the last on the old circuit won by Pedro Rodriguez in the BRM. I've been working there now for the last 20yrs and haven't missed a GP since. If you get time then trace the old circuit as it's still possible to drive round most of it , have a look at the bottom corner at Stavelot where the 917's were taking at over 175mph and stayed in top gear from Les Combes to La Source, over 7.5mls!! I hope you enjoy it but expect to get wet !!

The race will end at about 15.30 local time. Then you have to get to the station, which is about 11 km from the circuit. Trains leave every hour for Brussels at 9 minutes before the hour, arriving at Brussels Central 2 hours 8 minutes later. So 17.51 is the last train you can catch to connect with your train to Paris.

Better walk to the station as after the race everything around the track will be gridlocked
