After much to-ing and fro-ing it seems that I won't be able to get my driving licence back for a few months yet (bureaucracy gone nuts as per).  I want to come to the UK in August and will now have to come by train.  However, as I need two crutches to walk and am still pretty lame, I cannot carry much luggage.  If anybody within shouting distance of the Weald of Kent or London could possibly take a rucksack back with them to England to pass on to my mate Paul (who works in London and lives in Kent), I would be really grateful.  He is coming over but in the Moggie and is already taking my camp bed and sleeping bag along with his own stuff.

Hi Debs

I should be able to help, assuming that it's not a massive rucksack however a Moggie has way more space than a Frogeye. I think that he needs packing advice.

Yes, Gary I think you'd have to compete for the "least luggage space" prize!  If somebody else has got a bit more room then it's probably more practical than loading up the poor old Frogeye.  Because Paul and I are going to a music festival, I'm already filling up the Moggie with our camping stuff (he hasn't any of his own) which I usually bring along.  A few clothes in addition and my travelling netbook would be good to get over there then I can take my camera stuff by train.

Termie,

I'm on the west side of London but would definately have room for a Rucksack.  I can possiblely get the Rucksack to Paddington via a friend.  If that helps.
Let me know and I'll check it out if getting it to Paddington is possible.

Thanks so much Gary and Tom.  On reflection, I think it's just going to be easier all around if I send some stuff on ahead by courier and charge the cost to my favourite lorry driver's insurance.  The process of collecting the thing afterwards is probably going to be just too much hassle for all of us.  But I really do appreciate the CA spirit, as ever.  Thanks guys.
