No wedding anniversary holiday this year so I will be there. If I survive the Lager Fest the night before.

Is anybody going and trying out the circuit camping or is everybody doing Whittlebury? I ask because obviously circuit side will be much better for me but I need to book this and it would be good to know if there were going to be some friendly faces about - it will be my first venture out without a helper for over two years!

Hi Deb I thought I'd try Litchlake again this year, used it for the first time last year and it's just opposite the main entrance so access is easy. Whittlebury would be very difficult if you're still wheelchair bound. Steve

Deb, Olly and I going up on the Saturday morning and we will be camping at Whittlebury. If you are feeling lazy then I can drive you around to the main entrance, as it is on the flat. I agree it is a trek from the campsite and not really suitable for crutches or wheelchairs, plus at the moment it would be too far for me to walk anyway,in my delicate state Andy

Thanks that is a very kind offer. However, I can do the driving bit that's not so much of a problem. It's more about pitching tents and coping with the slopes etc on the site. I felt if the Silverstone camping (which at £20 is also good value) were where the martials were when I last went then it would be better as it's on the flat and very close by. On the other hand if everybody is at Whittlebury then it could be better, even given the difference in cost and the inconvenience of being so car away.
Steve, how much does your campsite cost, approx?

Hi Debs I'm there tomorrow for the classic and Litchlake (opposite the entrance) is £10 pp per night. However, for the 1000kms I'm going to Whittlebury so you need not worry about pitching your tent or getting to the track - you will have plenty of willing helpers. Last year Whittlebury was £15pp per night from memory. Steve

I believe the Silverstone camping will be just the other side of the fence (i.e. outside of the payline) at copse corner, so literally only a few minutes, if that, to get into the circuit.
