Is it too early to start packing?? I've run out of things to do on the car and I'm now itching to get going Grin

I think I am going to be tired again, three weeks work to do this week, always the same before I have hols.

I have aired the tent and sleeping bag, tested the table and the chair and printed out my survival guide of things I need, plus organised all of monday off as I am leaving on the boat at about 5.00pm. Still unsure where to stay monday night but will pop down to Nantes on the tuesday and go around Atlantis which has Ikea etc (sad I know)

I'm leaving for Le Mans on the 8th but I'm waiting for a part to arrive from America before I can put my prop shaft back together for the frogeye. Either way, I have a plan B if it doesn't arrive in time. So either way the Frog and I will be there, but staying on a Gite near Spay this time.

You could always head off early and have a few extra days in Barnsley!

F

P.S.  I have got a new tent - only £10 and 2kgs - even lighter than a pop-up!   angel

Edit:  just weighed it and its only 1.4kgs - hope it doesnt rain tho!

Is it a poncho?

Sounds a bit light to me? Did you buy it from the Alfa Romeo GTA light travel shop?

Glad to know you are coming though, good to catch up and get the gossip on the LM24, a number of people have gone very quiet since that happening.

Oh dear. Extreme dissapointment is not the way to start a road trip Fran.

Taking the Alfa for it's first long trip today. I have to go down to Durham and brave the Passport Office. Mine expired last week. Undecided
Also going to have to drive one handed as my wrist is heavily strapped after an almighty tumble out on my Mountain Bike on a particularly notorious Down Hill near Alnwick last night. I think I will keep away from bikes for the next week or so.

On the positive side - things can only get better.....

Just let me know if you are too injured to drive and want to put me on the insurance Dr S - one careful lady driver, etc!!!

Smiley

P.S.  Are members of Team LB allowed to go mountain biking (even if its downhill)?  I have bunked of the gym twice this week for fear of being booted out of the team for excessive activity.
