even though I'm not being rained on it's proper 'orrible innit

Indeed it is Bill.

I got a call from some of the guys on BN earlier, and if it were possible I miss it even more than I already was.

No tent in the garden but a good stock of cider to get me through the race.   Grin

In honesty its only knowing that there's you guys in the same (OK Peter, similar ) boats that is keeping me sane-ish

I knew it would be hard and my reasons for not going arent entirely fiscal, though there IS an element of that which I could have been helped with by very good amigos offering to waft me along with them.

I'd rather be there wet than sat at this silly 'pooter here, dry

Doris enjoy the cidre, was you yere I'd happily get the next one in for you

and you Peter and all our other readers let's make the most of OUR weekend wherever we are

RLM on the pooter makes a difference though, Hindy and friends are a lifeline

cheers kids  hic!

I was going to set up the tent and camp out but there was a big welcome sign at my local club last night (an apparition) so I went there instead, watched warm up this morning which seemed very slippery, luckily very little damage to the cars.

Can't wait for the Classic now...

Lots of punctures and leaders

Ramping up nicely to the start, any more rain due, or will it dry out Smiley

Preparations going well here at home. BBQ dragged just outside the patio doors and I have just to head over to the farm shop for some burnable meet products. Beers are nicely chilled and laptop is ready for the RLM feed and live timing. All I need to do now is put the cordon tape across the door to the snug and halfway across the garden to keep the wife and kids out and it's all systems go!

Enjoy wherever you are watching and don't forget to keep calling in.

Getting into the spirit up here. Had a great bonus on the way back from the shops just before the start- the 'French' Market was in the town square! I've just had a big plate of Tartiflette and a Grand Marnier Crepe as as a late lunch with a big pot of Rillette on standby for later! The stall holder is a dead ringer for Luc Alphand too (explains why he's not driving then).

I thought it was just me having problems with it.

No problems with the cider thankfully.  That's going down very nicely.   Grin

The wife and I are about to have some BBQ ribs and then some watermelon as I listen to Radio Le Mans until 5 when SpeedTv reconnects.  It's hot and very humid here, not at all like the weather in Le Mans right now.  ...but I can pretend can't I? Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh
