Yes, enjoyed the race, full of on incident and surprises

Disappointed that the lizards didn't finish and the Jag couldn't really get going

But thank you to everybody on here, I enjoyed your company and comments

See you next year, if not before   Smiley

Well that's one race we won't forget in a long time. Exhausting, facinating and sometimes just plain weird!
Sadly the last hour got to me. Seeing Quesinel, De Chaunac and the Dr Ulrich break down in tears was too much formy sensitive soul and had me in floods of tears. Then the Aston.......

Even at the top you should never underestimate just how passionate these people are for that race. I doff my cap to each and every one of them.

It was fab...and next year, we'll be back  Grin  (I hope...)

The distance record was from 1971 and had stood at 392 laps (of that track - 5 thousand and something km's).  I think the leaders did 397 laps worth of km's this year.

Eurosport were wittering about breaking the record from 2009, this isn't the proper distance record they did less km's in 2009 than in 1971 but 2009 is the record for THIS configuration of track and that stood at 382 laps.   So lots of record breaking this year!
