Looks like the Pugs may have a little more power allowed by the French ACO rules than the Audi given the 4 second better qualifying times today.  I can't believe 4 seconds is purely a superior driver effort.  There has to be something else.  Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Hi Doris!

Can you get onto Europsport Player on the UK site or does it block you?    They'll probably be some mirror sites around with streamed coverage over the weekend...

Last year I was in the States during Le Mans (yes, missing it is becoming a habit!) and I watched a lot of the race live on dodgy sites - I don't recall where I found the original feed, but it would be closed down every so often and we'd all trundle off to a new site. They had a chat window and I met one or two people I knew from Sebring in the same chat room!

Seems like Audi could be concentrating more on a steady race pace and letting the Pugs go flat out in the hope they break. McNish seemid a bit p*ssed off after quali last night but theres no way theres a full 4 seconds difference in Audi's pace from the Pugs.

Tonight will probably be closer, especially if it rains but saturday and sunday will be the real test of just how fast the frenchies really are. Pole is just bragging rights in a 24 hour race  Wink

Hmm....I've got a nasty feeling that despite Audi's "we're working on race pace, really we are" comments, the Pugs are just stonkingly quick and are disappearing into the distance.    Of course Peugeot have to get the cars to the end and 24 hours (plus quali before hand) is a long time...

Is it me or are the pugs louder this year?

I am very aware that the internet may be my friend this weekend and I'll certainly be listening to RLM when I can.  However... and there is no nice way to put this, the broadband where I live is utter crap!  It takes half an hour to download a 4 minute youtube video so I hold very little hope for live streaming.  That won't stop me trying of course.   Wink

The 12 hour time difference will make my chances of catching the start or the finish slim.   Sad  But, on the plus side I'll be right up to date with all the 'overnight' action.   Smiley

Oh, and let's not mention the exam I have at 9am Monday morning which I will be studying for this weekend rather than surfing the net trying to find sites showing the race.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I am currently living in hope that one of the kind CA soles who said they were recording it will be able to send me a copy.  If that happens I shall pick a weekend after exams, lock myself in my room (too cold to camp in the garden), and watch the whole thing from end to end.   Grin

Dx

PS: Anita - it's great to see you back on here.  You've been missed.

I'm on holiday until late Saturday but listened in to RLM on my IPhone last night. Really wished I was there.

Oh well, Classic to look forward to in a few weeks. Shame Piglet won't be there though as it's always nice to get visitors.
