Of all the bad bits of planning I've ever had to cope with, I now have to have a scan later afternoon on Friday. (I have an op scheduled for the Wednesday following the race which I have to get over and done with so I recover in time for the Classic). Not too bad except that I'm not allowed to eat or drink from breakfast time onwards until it's over. Thus I will be arriving at the campsite on Mad Friday evening. sober, hungry, and undoubtedly mega-grumpy! Although we're on MB, we were planning to make our way over to Bleu and crash whatever parties might be going on. However, as you're now split into two where should we head? Seriously, I don't want Paul to have to help push me/prop me up and carry a shed load of fizz just to find that we're in the wrong part of the camp site and have to give up. Is there a plan for Bleu on the Friday or are you all going to have a quite night in?.......

I'm not sure on party planning, but Brethren, JPC and DfH are pitched together.

This film should be played at high volume, so don't come complaining about it! And who the hell is Steve?

I don't think there is a planned party per say as in the past Deb, but as Marius says, DfH, Team JPC and The Brethren (incorporating Team Zarse and The Melans) are all together and I know both Marius and Russ have plans for sound systems etc.
I'd say that's a pretty safe bet as the place to head towards!

Debs
Without wishing to pry, what's the scan of? You may have had a standard letter, and fasting might not be necessary. Feel free to PM me.

If I had all the money I've ever spent on drink, I think on balance, I'd probably spend it on drink.

Believe me, it's necessary as I spoke to them direct.

There will be footy watching somewhere on BN! Probably at the brethren, afterwards we are planning on going to MB for the CA gathering at midnight, I am sure we can find someone to give you a push so Paul does not have to do it all by himself. Plus side, you will be on MB and not far from your tent then!

Saturday is not a problem as I will have two chaps by then (Mr T always spends Friday night at home in his own comfy bed but will be on duty by Saturday) and as you so rightly say, my tent will be close by (not that it sees much of me while the race is on). Also, the tarmac circuit is a doddle to wheel along - it's the gravel round Bleu that's such a bore. Thanks Lord S for your kind offer. We'll see how it goes!

I guess that's partly my point as he appears to be camped on the other end of BN. I can't go hobbling around the campsite so the mountain had better come to Mohamed!

Every year we try to pile up the 50l barrels of beer.
Better a trailer with empty barrels than a mountain of bottels.
