My first time camping

 Its my first time camping at Le Mans as the last times i have came on a coach trip.
 How many people on average do club arnage camp on bleu nord?  Also how do you keep all your electrical goods ie.mobile phones cameras mp3 players charged up without no electrical contact points on the campsite.

Hi Jon, you'll have a ball camping, what always impressed me was the laughter, all you hear when walking through the camp sites is people having a laugh, most will set out with the intention of doing somthing or having something that will create a laugh.
CA numbers are a bit down this year but still in the 70-80's I think.
As for sparkes for charging phones, camera's and MP3 players etc, a 12 to 240v inverter is ideal, plug it into your car and away you go. Genny's are ideal for Fridge Freezers, lighting and Mega watt sound systems.
Re keeping things cool, if your not taking a fridge/freezer, beer bargining will normally result in a friendly neighbor rotating freezer packs to keep your basics in a cool box cool.

Everything I take will recharge via a 12v socket, or a USB socket in my car.

Just need to remember to recharge the car, unlike last year...

As I'm coming on the train to le mans so I'm thinking on buying a Freeloader solar charger for my gadgets.

Bought one last year, not very impressed with it.

In the end I bought a Power Monkey too.  Much more reliable IMHO.

Jon, I'm sure that if you visit any pitch with a genny whilst carrying cold beer you would be most welcome to charge your whatever whilst drinking said beer with the hosts

Solar Monkey

It'll recharge anything with an up to 5v requirement and comes complete with a pretty comprehensive set of tips/adaptors, with others available if required, and a 'MonkeyNut' rechargeable dongle thingy which will store enough charge for temporary instant use of your device if you can't wait to recharge it via the Solar Monkey. Travel case and strap to attach the (small) solar panel to your tent/rucksack also included. As a final bonus, it'll recharge using only indoor electric lighting as a light source, albeit it needs to be fairly bright.

Prices vary wildly, I got mine, brand new - UK, via fleaBay for £17.50 delivered which was a bit of a bargain, I have seen them for up to £75!!! fleaBay, Amazon or the Solar Monkey website are probably your best bet.

As you may gather, I'm very impressed with mine, can't recommend it highly enough.

Not used mine in the field yet, but tested it at home, seems to do what it says on the packet.
Does take an age to charge up the 'nut' with the solar panel though.
It can be charged on the mains quickly, and has enough power for 3 recharges of a mobile.

We just plug into the circuit main supply, no problems then other than taking the 2pin adapters !!
