Is it me ,but with the new silverstone layout, is there any chance of seeing any racing cars with the naked eye?
as the pics in autosport of the soon to be old pit straight seem to show more grass between said cars & paying public than i can expect at my local golf course, I wouldnt get on the track with a 'driver' it would seem...........

A lot the extra run-off areas were put in for MotoGP, and yes there are areas where you need binoculars to see the track,  but there are still plenty of areas where you can get up close'ish.  The new arena bit has a great view from the grandstand up there, as do the old stands near abbey which give a good view of the run up and through the arena section.

The major change is through Woodcote where the gravel traps will double up as a beach when there isn't any racing!

Of course I buy green cars, my Aston is green, my MGB is green, my Disco Sport is green,  oh, that's not what you meant by green?
