All prices are in this order: 98RON, 95RON, Diesel

Cherbourg: 119.8p, 117.2p, 97.6p
Caen: 104.4p, 101.0p, 83.0p
Le Havre: 103.5p, 101.0p, 82.1p
Calais: 90.4p, 89.4p, 83.7p
Le Mans: 113.0p, 115.5p, 96.9p
Arnage: 118.1p, 115.9p, 97.8p

Fuel has risen in France again this weekend but it's still much cheaper than UK. I paid 1.12€/l on Sunday for diesel in France and £1.22/l this morning in Kent - exchange rate is (microscopically) better again at the mom to so I'd def say LBF is the place to fill up.

Exchange rate is dropping, it's down to 1€=£0.855 this morning and heading for 1€=£0.80 I reckon.

Guess I should add - that's only for diesel. As petrol is much dearer than diesel in France the difference is way smaller ...

Looking at those prices, with a car that has a 25 gallon tank and does less then 15mpg I'll def be filling up in Le Havre on arrival!

The exchange rate changes are still very very small at the moment but lets hope that it keeps going in our favour,  only thing that will stop that though is Gordon Brown keeping his job this week!

just checked on xe.com

as per now  1.17 euro to £.   Which is in the right direction - (but don't look at the Dollar/pound rate)

Sadly thats a midmarket rate,  1.13 is the more likely rate for buying €'s  But still heading slowly in the right direction.

I'm not worried about the $/£ rate as I don't have any plans to travel to the US this year.

If you're buying €€s for June, and need at least £500 worth, you can get 1.1724 here http://www.crowncurrencyexchange.com/. They are selling at 1.20 for later in the year

I'd be tempted to hang on a bit though

I think Greeks bearing gifts are more of a risk to the Euro than who gets in No. 10... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/10099914.stm
