Anybody looking to go this route should check out Sea France prices.
I thought my £60 return on P&O was good!

Check out Norfolkline - Dover - Dunquerke

Starts at £22 for 7 day return
Goes up to £34 if you want to travel at reasonable times.
There is a £6 fuel surcharge - the cheek of it!

Thanks for the tip on LD Lines prices.

I can get 3 of us out Weds, back Mon for £166.

Much less than Brittany Ferries.

Only problem is that the return on Monday is late afternoon/early evening & a certain Mr Zozzer needs to be home earlier than midnight.

We may have to stick with the current BF booking, which works out at £90 each return.

Dont forget that you can also use tesco club card vouchers to pay for the Euro Tunnel, making it very cheap!

Only downside is you have to shop in Tesco in the first place!

Yes, quite true - and add to their ever increasing profits and decimation of the high street!

Just to alert y'all that Pompey may not have much in the way of facilities next summer: -

This may influence a few in to choosing alternative routes such as Dover?

Paul.

looks like its moving as well, the info says 'will put it in a better position' where do you think that could be, Gosport?

Southampton would be a better position.

Gosport would surely be worse!

True, but who cares about the High St if you can get to LM cheaper?

Not necessarily. We collect our points via a Tesco Credit Card but don't shop there!
