Seems like you were treated to a great race, guys.  I for one am very pleased at the result - Oreca and Hugues de C put such a lot into the sport and it's good to see a different winner.

Totally agree Deb, good to see a different name on top of the podium.

Unfortunatly could not be there, struck down with norovirus, an uncomfortable weekend, and every end for that matter. Sad

A fine day it was too, dry (although not sunny), met up with Vegas and Mr Z in the Paddock bar (where else can you have a beer with friends and, at the same time, watch the race going on outside on the telly along with F1 at monza on the screen alongside it).

Plenty of good racing in LMP1 and the other classes, and a goodly sized crowd as well.  Took hundreds of pics, just starting to sort through them now.

It was good to see everyone, a fine day out all round. Arrived at the campsite at 10am sunday to find a sea of devastion and listen to the previous nights antics. Think I'm glad I wasn't there...

Now Mark, enough of this computer stuff, get your overalls on, I can hear an MGA calling for some attention. It's hard to hear exactly, but I think it's something about poorly onions...

What a superb weekend.
Saturdays weather was glorious, with wall to wall sunshine. Sun burn to the face was witness to that!
I had the pleasure of meeting a few CA'ers and sharing a drink or 2 with them.
The arrival on the campsiteof the Paramedic on Saturday night was a little concerning, but I'm pretty sure the patient was fit enough to enjoy sundays race.
And what a race. I took my son to his first motor race and now he's hooked.

Hi shame  we did not meet up with any of the c a  s crowd we arrived on friday afternoon
parked the car (very shiny green Vauxhall tigra wifeys pride and joy) ) near the toilet block and looked forward to a great weekend
little did we know it would turn into two nights of hell  duo to the  sad stag party of hell
Still the racing was awesome watching   jc  in the pescarolo at maggots early on in the race when he nailed both Astons was well worth losing two nights sleep

What happened at the end of the race - anyone know?

I heard on the tannoy that someone hit another car after the finish, but could not see the screens clearly by that point.

It was the P2 Speedy Lola which was thumped - possibly by the No 12 (or at least that is what Hindy seemed to assume, but then he had been laying into them all day about their appalling driving!)

Basically correct. #33 stopped to cheer with team, and #12 (to quote from DSC) must've been looking at the blue sky as he rammed the Sebah jaking the left rear off the car, and stopped himself just round from Copse.
