We are going to have our own little get together. Anyone fancy a ride through France leaving on the 18th August taking in Le Mans, then onto the south to stay with our pal Tone, turn left to Italy. 7 days in Levanto (nice) and a 3 day journey back. 4500 miles total journey including daily rides all on motorcicles. It'll be a gas. Sign up here suckers, and bring your arse cream. You don't need a septic pile like Steve had. He developed an abcess the size of an orange up his butt. Yummy. Rusty

Is there a train station nearby or can someone give us a lift from a nearby station. I can't bear go to a pub and not drink!!!
Neither are good for the station - wrong side of town. Long way off yet, but there are a couple of Pubs near Winnersh station (next stop towardS Reading) which we could use.

You don't need a septic pile like Steve had. He developed an abcess the size of an orange up his butt. Yummy Now, I've never met Steve, but he's already my hero. I can only guess that he must have enjoyed the experience, surely he could have got an Easyjet back, but no, he hung on like grim death and finished the job. At what price I can only imagine, but I bet he keeps an eye on how much roughage he gets through now. I once had a true friend described to me as "someone who'll give you his *rsehole and sh*t through his winkle", somehow I think Steve now knows how that feels. The Catch-22 of course, is that anti-biotics constipate you, and that's all the proof Atheists need if you ask me, it would have to be a very cruel God indeed to pull that one, and I bet Steve can't be found round the vicars on a Sunday. Count me in. H

Brad The latest hurricane will have wiped FL off the earth's surface, by the time you arrive. Your timing is perfect. The ALMS round at Road Atlanta runs on 25th Sept. I'm driving up to Atlanta from Orlando on 24th and meeting with Dave H, Fax and possibly Canada Phil. If you can skive off theme park duties, you and the old fella should join us - The Petit Le Mans is one of the best sportscar races in the ALMS calendar and Road Atlanta is the most fan friendly circuit I've visited in the US. Any news on your US itin, Big H?

I was last in the Plough about 6 weeks ago - when was it refurb'd? It's certainly an easy pub to find, and accessible from all sides (and within walking distance for me!)
I seem to recall it has a fairly narrow bar area but a large conservatory. I will go on a recce soon.
The Three Frogs is in new hands (well, I didn't recognise the staff tonight anyway!). They now have a rather crowded smoking side, but the non smoking side was empty.
How many will turn up - about 20?
