I've had a look at Motors TV listing and they're showing the Sebring 12 hours on Saturday 20th March at 15:00 and 20:00.

Yes, I've now got the VCR to DVD software sorted now and the big PC is churning out Le Ronde Infernal discs as I type this.

Matt, so if you would be happy to record to Pal VCR and can get the tape to me, I can do the conversion.

All I need now is a cheap source for DVD-R blank discs.

Maybe those of us interested in getting copies could bung a few quid your way Steve to cover the costs, and your time of course. I'd be happy to contribute.

I can also copy from VCR to DVD if it is of any help.

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Is there any coverage of Sebring in the UK (Sky etc..) for those of us who aren't lucky enough to be there???

It will be live on MotorsTV. Sadly, I'll have to rely on the the Eurosport summary.  Undecided

Following Big H's link above, here's the page that will let you listen to the radio broadcast when it is on  http://www.americanlemans.com/radioweb/radiowebhome.asp

Matt,
I can overnight the passes down there if you want to head to the circut this week.  We've also got a vehicle permit as usual.  Let me know.  Nice link H.  Haven't seen that one before.  Looks like someone's already made a mess of their Porsche.
John
Don't worry about it John, I've too much to do at work to justify it.
See you Friday at OIA.

Just got back from a quick trip to the maggot infested Big Apple - Christ I hate that place - even for a quick in-out on the same day.  This is my last fart around out of town before I head to Orlando on Friday - Matt I get in around 5:45 so that could bode for a troublesome evening.

I cannot believe that we're going to get potentially 6 inches of F-ing snow in Indianapolis on Tuesday - why in God's name did I move from Tampa?  Why???

On a lighter note - the weather forecast for Sebring looks great to me - I can't sodding wait!  Will be getting all the coverage on the old Tivo - can burn DVDs straight from that but unfortunately they're the wrong system for our friends in Blighty or I'd bung a few over.

Wotcher Dave!!

How's fatherhood going? I'll bet you're looking forward to a whole weekend without the sight or smell of full nappies. There is also the promise of a slobber-free shoulder, but I suppose that's not necessarily a dead cert.

Have a good 'un

Looking into it at the moment!!   Grin Grin

I have a couple of friends who have import Stainless Steel exhaust systems from Thailand for Powerflow and Janspeed. They have a container coming over every couple of weeks and there's always a bit of space. They are also out there every month so any small quantities of items are easily collected.

Woke up to three inches of fricking snow this morning...Ahhhh!
Christ I can't wait till Friday.  Dave, Matt, really looking forward to seeing you guys.  The idea of having some cold ones, puffing on a cigar and hanging out at the hairpin with Phil and the gang sounds pretty damn good to me.  For our friends oversea's, if you get a chance to watch some of the Speedchannel coverage, jump at it.
Its usually outstanding.  The comentators are all racers themselves so they know their sh*t and they have cameras everywhere.

Dave,

I have a DVD recorder that can take DVD's burned from either NTSC or PAL broadcast systems (according to the manufacturer). I would welcome the opportunity to take a copy from you and try to copy it for the benefit of anyone over here in the UK that may want one.

It's hammering it down here - the forecast for race day is great, but it might be a little soft under foot at the track.
Trainers might not cut it!
