Robbo,

Congratultions mate, it appears from your post as if you're "courting" a young lady. Good news indeed, who is the lucky girl?

Staplefield is certainly a fine place to step out, and step in things too if you stay late enough. Last year it degenerated into what might be termed "good practice for the shampoo bar". I seem to remember there were some "carryings on" in the back of the commer by one of our team...

Anyhow, thick heads all round and work next day was no fun. Sad

Just bumping this one back up the board. The Commer will probably be there, though it all depends on how far I get with replacing the clutch and crankshaft oilseal.  Huh

About 10.00am I think. I'll probably be down there about 12.00ish. Hears from Gibberish, who is looking to put in an appearance.

Depending on the weather and getting a new kitchen floor laid (the last of the " I'll get it done before I go to Le Mans " jobs), I might pop down. The Duke needs a shake down run after having had some work done on it, so it's a choice beteen getting up early, and going to Santa Pod, or a lie in and heading for darkest Sussex.

Here's a few of the cars, bikes etc that will be there:

Contemporary F1 car of unknown origin (Why Huh)
2 x Frazer Nash
2 x Morgan super sports
Ferrari 250GT competizzione 1961 model
Bugatti Type 49
Lotus 11 racer
Jag XK150 Jag D type (Replica but an amazingly good one)
Merc 300SL
Maserati 8C
Hupmobile
Facel Vega
Caddy Eldorado
Manx Norton
Vincent Rapide
Suzuki X7 Special Racer

Also to note the passing of MG Rover ther will be a large showing of MG's (TA,TB,TC,TD, A,C,B,BGT), Triumphs (TRs 2,3a,4a, 6,7, 2000, Stag), plus Rovers, Austins, Healeys, Vauxhalls, Lagoda, Armstrong Siddeley, Rolls, Bentley and star of the show, the Commer). There is also a  WW11 Piper cub spotter plane.

Also fire engine rides for the kids, plus local ale from the Dark Star brewery and ox roast for the adults.

All profits to the Village Hall and Church.

Finally, there is a dog show, in which I will be competing.
