You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

The LMES dates for next year are:
4 April, Monza

And more info: Lucchini are building a LMP car for the new LMP750 category to race in the LMES and the ALMS next year. Lucchini are the leader in the SR2 class in the FIA SCC.

Awww, Smokie you got me all excited.

When I saw the thread title my heart skipped a beat. This, I thought was our call to have 12 members photographed in the nip. Mind you, I didn't fancy being 'December', that sort of weather doesn't flatter a man in the buff.

Never mind, I think I'll go off and have that photo taken regardless...

Coincidentally, I have just been emailed next years booking form and timetable by Brittany ferries.

http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/index.cfm?ArticleID=351

Prices don't seem to have gone up, I guess we should all book early.

Finally who remembers when Brittany used to take everyones photo whilst they were driving up the ramp to board the boat. They then stuck all the prints in the window of a shop on board (called the Vitrine?) and invited you to buy a copy. It was traditional to steal said photo to avoid paying the £15 or whatever overpriced amount they tried to charge.

I have a photo somewhere of me and my mate Steve both stark naked driving my Honda up the ramp. I won't publish it here, as frankly it looks a bit gay.

So what message were you both trying to portray as you boarded the ferry on your Honda starkers then Andy?  Huh

It was a Honda car, not a bike. So the car was a LM equivalent to the WI's jam kettle I reckon. And Steve does look a bit like Helen Mirren.

I do not know what I was thinking. But I suppose it was an artictic statement. A cry for help, a plea for understanding in the mehanised ethos. Or something.

Well at least it wasn't a bike... 'cos that would have just been daft...  Wink

All I can say is that it's a tribute to your skills of persuasion… I can almost here the conversation now…

Andy: “Hey Steve, let’s both get naked before we get on the ferry…come on, it’ll be fun!”

Steve: “OK Andy, just as long as you take that gun away from my temple once we’re on…”

Incredible! Almost word for word it's exactly what I said. Except for Steves reply, which is okay for the first two words... He's easily led astray that lad.

And they wonder why Team Zarse camp at MB.

Ohh sounds like a bit of fun can be had here then... A new thread set up called "Steve does..." and then you fill it with the things you've managed to get him to do...  Shocked

Team Zarse members (that's the members of Team Zarse, not the Team's ugly bits) can make a competition of who can make him do the dumbest... the yard stick being of course, driving onto the ferry in his pink birthday pj's.

I'll look forward to late June when the nominations start flooding in...  Grin

Cut to customs shed:

Man with peaked cap: "Hey Phyllis, looks like we've got a couple of gay LeManners here"

Woman with peaked cap and body of Erta "Quick pull them over and I'll get my rubber gloves"

I can see it now............
