All that talk last year about 'Next Year...'

Well come on, tell us what you're doing new this year to better last year!!

We've got a few simple improvements, a lap top for providing card score stats & graphs (a Le Mans essential as far as were concerned! No really!), fairy lights for the new pop-up gazebo if the genny can handle it, a much improved brand new camper van (courtesy of Gaz) which apparently includes what's called a 'garage'..!

Nothing too eccentric there I know, but out of little things mountains are built... (That well known saying!)

So time to put your money where last years mouth was....

2 walkie talkies
1 4 man tent

Much duller but a much stronger boot rack so the spare wheel can go on the boot of the Sprite giving us more boot space for luxuries like food and clothing.

Oh and a bicycle speedometer so that I can tell a bit more accurately how fast we are going to stay on the right side of the gendemerie (sp?).  This also has the side benefit that I can recalibrate to km/h for the week, no more multiplication by 1.6 on the fly.

Not earth shattering I know but they make me happy!

No huge changes to our ensemble as we have limited carrying capacity.

However, the car has new brake fluid and will have the oil changed soon.

We intend to take our 10m x 3m gazebo as before but, without the Chevy pickup, it'll be 10 poles here, 10 poles there etc.

So the major change will be that we WON'T have it and will have to rely on Carrefour.

A 45 year old newbie & a dose of flu that has kept me off work and not put me in the right frame of mind for Le Mans planning yet.

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better.

Our 11th year, but first year with a generator and full-size fridge.

First year we didn't even have a tent or sleeping bag with us. Five of us just lived in a Toyota Previa for the whole stay.
