Hi Phil

I take it you mena "Birmingham International Airport" Huh

I believe that there is a main line station right next to it which goes up to Scotland in one direction, and down to the south coast in the other. It probably goes to London as well.

I'll get back to you shortly!!

Wow that was fast Thanks JP. Actually it is a return flight option which saves some money and more importantly fits my dates and times better. I would be coming from Either Exeter or Bristol for an early afternoon flight.
Gatwick is fine for arrivals but charter flights depart way too early for me to get there.
Have made room on the credit card so should have a firm date in a day or two.

BHX is a great little airport Phil, used to use it regularly. You can get a direct train to Birmingham International (which is right by the airport) from Bristol Temple Meads, and probably Exeter too. Only takes a couple of hours on the west coast mainline. Alternatively there are three or four trains an hour from London Euston, which is only about 80 minutes away.

Much recommended.

I wouldn't sit there if I were you, it's still a bit wet.

Coming and going through Gatwick now, I am commited.
This is a different airline.
