:(I think this is the same bloke I bought a ticket off via CA a couple years ago, when we desperately needed an extra one. I was new to the forum and unaware of the rules. He charged me double face value after conducting a blind auction! Apparently, he had over-ordered and was flogging off the spare tickets at twice cost price. Therefore him and his mates effectively camped for free. He is from Yorkshire. I trust who ever sells him a ticket will observe the same courtesy. If is not the same bloke then I apologise sincerely but I don't think I'm wrong. Andy Z

If I remember correctly we detoured on the way to the ferry to bring you the permit. The other three were sold for face value, yours for a slight increase not DOUBLE.
Get your facts right before you accuse anybody.

Whilst I have the floor,
At no time did I conduct a blind auction. If you remember correctly it was on a first come first served basis. I charged you extra for going out of our way to drop it off. Also if I remember correctly I phoned you to get you out of bed, so you could collect the ticket. You seemed most grateful at the time.
Double my zarse !!

Tim, I thought it was you!
Yes, sorry, you did do a detour. A whole 1/4 mile up the slip road onto the services at the bottom of the QEII bridge on the M25, which, if I am not very much mistaken, was on your route to Dover anyway. I seem to remember you were enjoying a handsome breakfast.
I did a slight detour too, driving from Sussex at 05.30 in the morning to meet you, so as not to inconvenience you. I had no objection to doing this, on the contrary, but let's get the story straight.
With regard to the cost of the tickets, you asked me to make a bid, which I did. You took exactly twice the face value for Karting Nord tickets. Fact. Whilst this hardly constitutes the rip off of the century, it is against the rules of this forum to charge over face value.
That's all I am saying on the matter, I have no wish to get into petty correspondence.

Urrrmm...maybe I've missed something here!! Andy...if it was an auction surely you made an offer for the tickets (of your own free will and of, presumably, twice face value) ? Are you saying that, after agreeing a price, he TOOK more than that amount from your bank account?? Or are you saying that, having made a successful bid for more than face value, the seller should've then sold you the ticket for the face value after all?? Nobody forced you to pay for the ticket...but you DID and you DID get a REAL ticket and yiu DID get to Le Mans, didn't you??

Simon, I suspect you've missed nothing...sharp as ever eh? ...and I'd thought this one had died down... ...it will disappear completely if the fight restarts... ...in fact it might go anyway...watch this space...

Was it last year that some poor sods paid a premium price on anohter site and received some rather poor photocopies of the tickets? My recollection is that they had been sold in "good faith" and the guy gave them their money back.

I remember that, well at least the guy was decent enough to hand the money back - or was he waiting to see if they didnt say anything?! Either way - seems a tad daft to me
