After hours of preparation and work since March, Bentley has won another trophy.
This time though it was a 1/24th scale Bentley that won the prize. Since march I have been building a resin Le Mans Miniatures model of the 2002  EXP 8, and after a week of sitting up until past 3am. (4.30am Saturday morning). I got the thing finished off ready for a model wheels show in Telford on Saturday.
At the end of the day, I was very happy to learn that it had won the trophy for best GT/Touring car in the show !
It was worth the effort of sitting up till 4.30 in the morning getting it finished and hence only getting 2 hours sleep before setting off for the show.

Well done Chris.  An effort to be proud of Grin

Any idea where I might be able to get a mere model kit version of the aforesaid wonder machine?

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

Chris24, can you 3D scan your model. It should be then possible to create a CAD model out of that. Then, I can use the CAD model and a CNC milling machine to build a Bobby car for my nephew.  Grin

Gibberish,
This is the mere model kit version ! There aren't any in regular plastic, omly resin. There are rumours that Tamiya may do the 2003 car, but i wouldn't hold my breath.
Ermm ! See that LMM are doing the 2003 car as well. Going to have to start saving.

You could always get the soon to be released 1/18th Autoart diecast for about £40 -£50.

Yes been to this site before, thats the kit I have just finished and I also have the Crocodile Audi to build as well.

If you want one of the resin, kits I can point you in afew directions on where to buy one, but the 1/24th kit costs £70.

Hi,
Autosport Models had two kits in stock at the show , priced at £70. They can be contacted at
www.autosport-models.com.
Not sure on a contact phone number for them though.

You can also try Grand Prix Models, www.grandprixmodels.co.uk but they will probably be selling it for a higher price.

If you get one and need any help or info on the kit then don't hesitate to contact me and i will answer any questions you have and point out any troublesome areas (not that there are any major ones anyway) !

Regards
Chris

Just like a normal Bobby car.  Wink BTW Chris24, the scale model looks great.

Superb model Chris. Respect. Obviously a man with to much time on your hands. I remember reading an article last year of someone who built the Crocodile Audi in scalextric form and spent hours and hours making the decals. It to looked fantastic when finished.
Now where's that Revel clip together, no glue required, already painted with decals applied kit gone.
