And what a program. Although Clark was sadly taken when i was less than 2 months old he remains one of the best. I tip my hat to you Jim.

One of the advantages of being old is that I did have the privilege of watching him drive on many occasions.  He was, and remains, my all time hero - we could do with somebody as self-efacing these days.  What he could do with a Lotus Cortina was a joy to watch.  Haven't got around to the documentary yet, but am currently dubbing it to disc for posterity.

Only having a normal tele I was unable to watch it. I  do remember seeing him on a few occasions, one being the Aintree 200 when he went off into a brick boiler house that would have been a more serious accident had Christabel Carlisle not demolished it with her Mini in the earlier saloon car race !!
On the day he died at Hockenhiem I was at Brands where he should have been racing in the BOAC 500 with a Ford 3L sportscar, but they were not able to get it ready for him in time.Such a shame as who knows what else he could have achieved.

Can't get BBC4 here but now downloding a Jim Clark documentary named The Legend lives on.
Is that the same as the BBC showed?

If that is refering to BBC iplayer then yes it is.

Just under 1 hour. Very good, lots of race footage.

It is titled - The Quiet One on BBC (edit to add)

Ditto. I think that BBC Iplayer is excellent. It was nice to see the track at Rouen as I drove round what was left of it a couple of years ago on the way back from Le Mans.
