Okeydoke, easy one to begin with and not directly a Le Mans question, but ........... Who drove this ? What's the car (precisely please) ? What is the race ? What is the year ? And also, what was this car's only other race ? Prize ? Hmmmm, I'll buy you a croque monsieur at Le Mans in 2004 !!!

A wild stab in the dark...
At risk of appearing foolish I would say this is a Porsche 917. But not an ordinary one. I think it was modified to fit into the early Group C regs. In about 1981 or somewhere around that era. No idea of the race, maybe Silverstone 1000kms, RAC Trophy thingy, dunno. No idea who drove it either, Bell and Holbert? You tell me. Did it do two races or is this a sneaky Rickmeister trick question?

So what you're telling us Andy is that you've no idea who drove it, you can't be 'precise' as to what the car is, you don't really know what race (if it was only one), and you're only guessing the year by the mincy blue outfit on the chap at the back... ... I'd say your risk analysis was spot on though!

Absolutely spot on!
The clue is in that the mechanic seems to be listening to Don't say a prayer for me now by Duran Duran.
If this is a Rickmeister easy question to kick off, then wtf is a difficult one?

Perhaps Mr. Magnus Meister should have started us all off with...
What's the number on the front of this car?
Or
What colour is it?
I may be able to answer that one...

Chris,
I think you could be right and are about to discover the dubious joys of a Ricks Ham 'n' Cheese Surprise!
The clue is on the front where it say Kremer C. I couldn't remember if it was Brands or S'stone, but knew it was one ot t'other. I think 81/82 was a sort of transition year between the old Group 6 and Group C, which really seemed to kick off in 83. I had no idea of the drivers tho. Could just as well have been Jimmy Savill and Hilda Baker for all I know.
Well done!

Well what can I say Chris? (See Andy, told you it was easy!!). Well 99% correct anyway!! Call me "Mr. Picky", but the Brands race was officially a 1000kms event that year (it was Silverstone that had the six hours), but I'll let you off if you can tell me who the race sponsor was? . . . . . . . . . . . Only kidding!! Well that helped to pass the day for me .. how was it for you? (As they say.) As for there being ham with my cheese, well that's just vicious speculation.
