As some of you have been following Tom Dunstan's racing exploits, I thought you may like to know what he has been up to.

A chance to test the new GT4 Aston came up, so he flew out to Dubia, were they gave him a DBS to learn the track in (Made Robin and Tom laugh, imagin an 18 yo turning up at an Aston dealer in a batterd 205, and getting a test drive!) before he went out in the V8 GT4 car, Tom was the youngest driver there and was the only one that Aston let drive the car with the traction controll off, plus he was a 2 seconds quicker than every one else, so they let him out in the DBR GT1 009..................only as a passenger

Aston were very impressed with Tom and was thier "driver of the day" the way that he aproched the test, and his skill behind the wheel plus feedback. They have offerd Tom and Robin help in finding sponsership, hospitality etc, for next year.

Well done indeed Tom

Bobblehat, just out of interest who piloted the 009 for Tom's passenger lap?

Not sure who was driving 009, but just found out it was Stefan Muke (Aston Martins LMP1 driver) who was Tom's "coach" in the V8 GT4. It was he switched off the traction controll as he said "it was holding Tom back"

Wow - Awesome work Bob/Tom..... If you happen to need a stand in, do let me know - I'm sure they'll never notice once the helmet is on..... I'll just say Tom had an over active craving for pies..... Smiley

Look forward to seeing Tom competing in the GT1 soon Wink

Now that would be nice to see him make it into GT1 at La Sarthe - fingers crossed!
