It's funny to see Clarkson screw up, but this is worrying:

The bank shouldn't have set up the Direct Debit without a correct signature for the account so they are negligent.

All companies that use direct debits sign up to a code of conduct where they are obliged to reimburse a consumer if a payment is taken incorrectly.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good story though  Roll Eyes
