The 2009 provisional schedule has been released:

March 8-9: Official Testing - Paul Ricard HTTT, France
April 3-5: 1000km of Catalunya - Catalunya, Spain
May 8-10: 1000km of Spa - Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
July 31-August 2: 1000km of Algarve - Portimao, Portugal
August 28-30: 1000km of the Nürburgring - Nürburgring, Germany
September 11-13: 1000km of Silverstone - Silverstone, England

- Algarve will begin in the late afternoon and end in the dark
- Another race could be added, TBA at the prize-giving ceremony November 15th
- One of the races may be changed to two separate 500km races on the same weekend
- The official test will be open to the public

I like the sound of the race in Portugal the track is only 70km from Faro airport and there are loads of cheap flights too.

cheapest one i can find is www.brusselsairlines.com --> €226 for a return flight 31/07 - 03/08

combining it with a summer holiday looks to be ideal Cool

I've been looking into going to the LMS race in Portimao, Algarve next year.

Sunny Portugal, evening/night race, a new track, could make for a fun week.
The track looks interesting, some elevation changes and blind corners that could make it interesting.
First race there will be the Superbikes first weekend of november.

Thought I would share some links to pics and video I found along the way.
