Crashed my car on the way into work this morning!  Rear ended a 4x4 Volvo (dented the bumper) and have completely trashed the front on my Lexi  Cry  I'm just waiting to hear back from the insurers to find out if it's been written off or not...

To top it all... I managed to get a lift from my mum to the train station, to get a lift with a colleage into the office, stepped out of the car and landed on my ar$e infront of a queue of chatting/smoking taxi drivers - needless to say, after a few swear words all I could do was join them in hysterically laughing at the incident!

The only upside to this is that the chosen vehicle for the drive to Le Mans is the Audi A4 again (phew), so it doesn't impact our plans.  It just means I have to be a little more consious of how much I spend as the excess is going to be £325.00 and I dread to think how much more I'm going to have to spend if I have to buy a new car...

Ohhh, that's a bummer (literally Grin) I am sorry to hear that you crashed your car, hope it won't be a total write off. Hope you are fine though, not that a whiplash or anything like is going to act up later on. Don't worry about spending money, we got you covered at le mans, hell, we have everyone covered for that matter! Hope this does not rain on your parade to much, see you very soon at that lovely patch of green somewhere in france!

Rusty - Excellent news!   Grin

Vix - Stop being such a bloody girl!  Such behaviour will not be tolerated at LM!   Wink

By comparison my bad day meant arriving back in England to find it F***ing raining!  Typical British summer!   Sad

Glad you're OK though!! Could have been worse, it could have been the 4x4 Volvo that rear ended you!!

Or even worse, you could have been rear ended by The Gimp!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

thanks for your kind words and smutty comments... latest from the garage is that the damage is over £4k so it's been refered back to the insurers to make the call!  i've got everything crossed it's not written off but the book price is only about £6k  Angry

Not sure if that's with labour or not they're just saying over 4k so i'll just have to wait and see.  Just glad I have the Audi for Le Mans because I don't think I'm going to see the Lexi for a good few weeks, if I ever see it again...
