Transmanche ferries, Newhaven Dieppe. 11pm weds, left 1.30am!! Return 3.00am monday. £48, the only reason we use it, and the journey down was better with the toll road. If only we had not been delayed we wouldn't have hit Rouen in the rush hour.

I've booked 10 cars for the Classic.  After speaking to Speedferries customer services, they offered me a £20 discount per car for a 'club' booking.

So what did that make it then Steve? £30 return??

I know there are lots of different times and routes that we all travel to Le Mans on, but I'm sure we should be able to get a discount if we bulk book!!

Used the Tunnel out Thursday at 13:30 ,back Monday 12:00 ,one and a half hours earlier than the time we had booked.
No problems at all and Freebies from Audi at the shops before we left on the way out.
Quite a long drive from Newcastle (~340 miles) but no hold ups until we got to the Dartford crossing.

I too did the long drive down from Newcastle which took 6 hours including stops . Crossed via speed ferries which was excellent for £50 return ( 55 mins), stopped in Boulongne at the Formula 1 then 3hrs 50 to the circuit at a leisurely pace. Stopped in Rouen on return and checked out the old GP circuit before heading home (Just a few Armco's and a few metres of the original track left). Works out 150 miles each way extra over Portsmouth / Caen. Therefore  not including the extra 300 mile fuel / driving, thats a toal of £110 against £400 for brittany ferries. Speedferries hands down for me.

I was lucky to meet up with Nopanic and travelled down with him to the sites, thanks again for the company
