I'm trying to book a ski trip for early Feb. Do any of the guys and girls in France know when the Half Term is for French schools?

Yes, they start 4th February and end 6th March.
That's because France is divided into 3 zones, with staggered holiday periods in February and over Easter. Quietest week in the period will be 1st in February.
