The WHOIS lookup says it's registered to the ACO themselves (no surprise there then)

No idea what they might be planning to do with it though. A lot of organisations register every derivation of a name they can think of to ensure no-one can put up an alternative site. The .co.uk version of this one is available though!

"lemans-aco.com" was an early incarnation of lemans.org site. In the first few years on the 'net the ACO seemed to want to change the domain name on a regular basis just to keep us guessing.

Club Arnage on the other hand has only changed once and the old version still works on the new site. We de-hyphenated our domain in 2001 so that club-arnage and clubarnage both work interchangably. If you want to go back to pre-Arnage period back in 1995/1996, we were "www.le-mans.co.uk" but the ACO were unhappy with the words 'Le Mans' in the URL so we changed to Club Arnage... the rest is history.
