Does anyone know of a long range forecast that's any good?
Metcheck are ok for the UK, but don't do anything for France. So far, the best I can find is 5 day.
Any ideas ?

Well done robspot, it is actually a 15 day forecast, so will be more useful in a couple of weeks.

You have to be prepared for anything.  As we leave a week before the race, the 5 day weather forecasts don't help and are prone to change on day 4 anyway.

Whatever keeps the sun out will usually keep the rain out too.

If we all keep an eye on that link, at least if it's wrong, I won't be the only herbert in wellies, parka and gloves in 90 degree heat.

this is the url you need.  the important part is the overall trend, ie so many days warm, so many hours rain and cold and an overall trend of the weather geting better and warmer.  this is what the web site is saying at the moment but as we all know its tricky stuff weather.

I'm not going to stick my neck out and say it one way or the other and it might be best if we all just forget it otherwise sod's law will kick in. Cool Cool Cool

Exactly. I always take some light water proofs just in case. But this year I intend to buy a pool and use it.

Plus as i've mention before I have a carbon fibre stunt kite which has travelled on loads of holidays and days out. Put one in your bag and it is always hot and wind free. I've flown the f**k*r about 3 times in 3 years
and its lived in the boot of the car for ages.
