I've just received my allocation letter and at the bottom where you sign the acceptance slip it says:

In:
Date:

Signature:

Now I've figured out what to put against 'Date:' and Signature:' but what on earth do I put against 'In:'.

I know I'm going to feel very silly when I know the answer.

Cheers.

hi Sprite

This is a very common thing on French documents.  Threw me first time I saw it, but it's actually the town or city where you are when you sign.  Presumably your home town.

For commercial documents it tends to be your place of work etc............

sorry, was that too booring Roll Eyes

Nothing that ensures I get the tickets I want is boring.

Many thanks.

Same with cheques in France - first time I wrote a cheque on my French bank acount, I had to ask what went in the 'Fait a' space.  Different country, different procedures - c'est la vie.

You'd be surprised how many people don't know how to write out cheques over here and scarily how many people don't know what a PIN number is and how happy they are to tell you it.
