The Paypal system is being targeted by the scum, got what I thought was a scam so I sent it to Paypal to check, top is their response, below is the mail I got.
I assume any unexpected mails asking for personel details is a scam and mostly just delete them on the basis that if it is that important they will write hardcopy or send another mail.

and change your password and secret question and answer information. Any
compromised financial information should be reported to the appropriate

Just got a second mail saying if I did not respond then my account would be disabled, not a problem for me as I dont have one - but if I did and relied on Paypal and was slightly gulible???

i've had quite a few spoof paypal and ebay emails, only figured the ebay one was a spoof when i accidental entered my password in wrong n it still let me in!! Shocked

Online banks get similar problems to this, anything to do with money is always going to get scammed Sad

The basic message about any of these emails is never to click any link, type the address in instead.
So if Ebay emails requesting information you goto www.ebay.co.uk (or wherever) rather than clicking the link.

Seems there's too many bad people in this world, this sort of thing is only going to get worse this year I'm afraid!! Cry
