Yes I agree.  Very eerie and evocative.

The photos of the Lockheed Constellation remind me of a program that was broadcast on PBS here in the States not ago about a couple of retired Quantas pilots who found an old, abandoned Connie in one of those huge aircraft boneyards out in the desert. She was in terrible shape, sparrows nesting in the instrument panel and all that fun stuff.  They rounded up some private donations and with a bit of elbow grease got her flying and finished her restortation in San Diego.  Before they flew her back to Australia, Lockheed threw in a period Quantas paint job on the house (which doesn't sound like much at first but apparently is pretty damn expensive)
