Following the terrible news from the US regarding the Hendricks team.

Here are a few more drivers, teams & families that have perished in plane crashes. Sad reading.

I'm sure DC has never had anything to do with the championship or be high enough up in the pecking order to even get on the radar screen of betting syndicates, unless they were looking at the number of retirements he has in one season Wink

Didn't one of the Bentley Boys lose thier lives trying to break thier own London to Cape Town records, I cant rember wich one?

Ron Flockhart died whilst practising for a solo London-Australia flight.

John Hindmarsh - Lagonda boy and Le Mans winner, test pilot... Hawker Hurricane on test, St george's Hill, Weybridge, Surrey, England

Glen Kidston - Bentley Boy and Le Mans winner... Drakensberg, South Africa

Chris Staniland - Brooklands boy, motorcycle racer, racing driver, test pilot - Fairey Battle.

Luis Fontes - Lagonda boy and Le Mans winner, Air Transport Auxiliary pilot in wartime... Wellington on
delivery, Pembrey, Wales

 
Johnny Wakefield - Maserati boy, FAA or RAF pilot in wartime

Ok not a driver but motorsport related all the same.

Paul Morgan, (Ilmor Engines) who died when he crashed his Hawker Sea Fury.
 If you ever saw the pictures then he was damn unlucky as it flipped over on landing with very little damage apart from crushing the canopy where he was sat !
