I am thinking of going to the pre-quals for the first time this year and was wondering if anyone answer any of the following questions.

Is there camping available on the Saturday night before and on the Sunday night after?

Are there suitable cheap hotels near the circuit should camping not be available?

If there is camping available does it need to be booked, how much is i and what site is it (i presume that MB would be used)?

Finally are you able to camp in the car parks, these i believe are free during pre-Quals?

Cheers.

Rick,
We have not camped on the Sunday(usually leave about 4.30pm) but camped on the Sat at Vert P16 - just behind where the shampoo bar is in June- since 2000.
We book the ticket on the day at the expo centre I think for about £12.00 and pick up our tickets for June at the same time.
Have always had a great weekend  everything is more relaxed than June.  I still always wake up with a bad head on Sunday though.  Must be something in the air at Le Mans :

I went to pre-quals a couple of years ago.  We didn't try to camp and found that all hotels in the Le Mans area were full up, even though we were booking 2 or 3 months in advance.  We ended up in Tours and booked via an agency on the web.

Had a great time though!

Thanks for that Joe 90 but we are already booked and will camp on P16 Vert for the weekend. There are a few Club-Arnage people going and are meeting at Pit1 on Saturday evening at 1800 CET. See the general discussion forum for more on Pre-Quals.
