An early happy Christmas to you all.

It seems an eternity since we were at LM in June 2019, pray to the racing gods that Covid does one and lets us all back properly.  I've currently got the lurgy, though apart from exhaustion and no interest in beer (!!!) I trust the triple jabs will tell it to clear off fairly soon.

With Maison Blanche now being used as a paddock next year, our group of 30 odd are looking after 25+ years at alternative campsites.  We've been offered plenty of space on Epinettes, though know little about it.  Could some kind person share some info' about it please?  We ideally want an electrical hook up (TV, fridges, and most important beer pumps and chiller) rather than lug generators down.  Is it possible to drive in and out of the site from Wednesday to Monday and access local roads fairly easily.  I understand it has pretty good drainage and decent latrines and showers.

Many thanks.

We stayed on Epinettes for the Classic 2016 and were very happy with the place. Start-Finish-Area, Dunlop Chicane, Esses and Tertre Rouge are almost equidistant (15-20 min. walk). Driving in and out and the access to local roads was easy and possible throughout the whole event. Showers and toilet facilities were OK. I cannot judge the quality of the drainage because the weather during the Classic 2016 was brilliant, no rain at all. Electric hook-ups were not available, AFAIK the only campsite option with electricity on site are the numbered pitches on Camping Houx (not Houx Annexe) which is next to Epinettes. We will stay there again next year during the Classic.

Hope that helps a little

We stayed on épinettes this year.it was ok.bloddy expensive though compared with beaujouse.as always got good and bad points .drainage seemed ok if that’s a big issue for camp near the big trees on the east side of the campsite.

We've stayed at Epinettes a few times and can concur about staying on the tree lined side, there was a massive electrical storm one Thursday night 14 or 15 cant remember "beer fog" and we had setup one side of the roadway near the trees on the eastern side and were perfectly dry and tents just he other side of the road were life rafts (10 yards away.) I think there is an official free shuttle (mini train) stop outside now. But the driver always stopped to let us out anyway before it was official(antares/Entree est to technoparc/entree sud shuttle). Very handy for getting the tram into Centre Ville for the drivers parade etc.

Pretty good crowd on the site too, never seen any trouble.

Toilets and showers are regularly cleaned and emptied but that's improved tenfold in the last few years over all sites I believe.
