6 hours and counting. I know it isn't Le Mans but what the hey....middle of winter, why not?
I'm only a few hours (4 give or take) south of Daytona, but with 23 hours of the race on TV, I'll pass again this year. Enjoy.

Oh they had plenty of rain...
I made it to 0500 before I had to get some shut-eye. Too much Cabernet last night, ugh!

Wild finish, I was a bit surprised they let that pass stand, but I'm happy for the Wayne Taylor Racing guys, they earned the win.
The new Caddy DPi's are bad fast, and the new 911 rsr's showed how quick they are straight out of the box by finishing second in GTLM in their debut race.

Enough rain, but not enough racing in the wet. Impressed by the speed of the Dallara Cadillacs. Riley & Visit Florida might have had the slowest LMP2 (looking at their qualifying performance) but had reliability (spent the least time in the pits). Guess Oreca still has some work to do on its Oreca07. I was surprised about that last pass too. Taylor went for a very small gap, knowing they would collide & Albuquerque didn't stand a chance when they made contact. GTLM is going to be a blast again this year, such a shame the Corvettes still won't race in the WEC for a full season.

Agreed, it would be nice to see the Vettes do the full WEC calendar. I can only assume they don't want to take the extra workload on top of the IMSA schedule. I haven't compared the IMSA schedule to the WEC, so don't know if there are any conflicting dates.
