Hi all,
First of all: The editorial deadline for the 2014 CA Guide print edition will be
Friday, 23rd May 2014. The only exception to this will be the entry list which I will keep open for updates as long as possible to be able to deal with the usual last-minute driver changes. The plan is then to
publish the new CA Guide for download on Thursday, 5th June 2014 some when in the evening.
Any help in updating the information on the Club Arnage Wiki is highly appreciated.
Hats off to Delboy who is working on some chapters already.
New for 2014:The print edition of the CA Guide will be a little thinner this year. My plan is to put only the stuff in there which is useful while being at the track: Time table, entry list, regulations, information about the facilities, where to watch, a little bit history for the newbies and so on, plus some interesting Le Mans related stories.
To avoid misunderstandings: The remaining sections of the CA Guide should still be updated, but only in the Wiki, and shall be a help for trip preparation: campsite information, route descriptions, how to buy tickets, what to take and what to leave and so on.
This will reduce work to prepare the print edition significantly.
I hope everybody is fine with this – and I’m looking forward to an exciting battle between Porsche, Audi and Toyota – and despite all focus on efficiency, fuel flow metres, energy recovery and all this I hope we’ll see some real racing too…
Werner
