Neil, I'm sure www.toolstation.com hand tool section (sub-section - Hammers) has suitable reset devices!

Have you tried plugging it into your computer?
It normally switches itself on automatically if you are using MyGarmin.

HI Neil,

I take it ou have googled he problem.  I found This page on the AVforums though it doesn't sound the same.  I guess you have had the unit a while or you would be taking it back.  If it is still looking in good shape and has not been knocked hard or dropped.  I can't see why it would stop working.   While it was left did it get very hot or very cold?

If it was left plugged in and chargeing then it's a mistery.   Have youtried ressing and holding the power button for say ten seconds?
Try charging it with a mains adaptor may be you cigar lighter cable it not working as it should.

Having just come back from holiday in darkest Cornwall, I did find the Nuvi invaluable, but it did take me up dead ends twice.  It could always tell me how far I was away from Blue Nord too.

Personally, I couldn't cope not knowing where I was and I bought a map
