Anyone else get buzzed by the police 'copter with the big thermal imaging camera out front? He hovered over us while we were lurking in the woods trackside between arnage corner and the Porsche curves, then buzzed us again as we made a hasty exit into BSJ.
He seemed to be doing a circuit of the track every 45 mins or so - presumably to flush out unofficial spectators. Seems a tad unsporting.

It could also have been part of the greater police visabilty to stop petty theft from the sites.

It just be Paranoia. :-)
I suspect the ACO or very keen that you don't watch from unauthorised places. Imagine the issues if a member of Joe Public had been standing where Dunbrek landed the Merc.
I think that in general the ACO do make an effort to keep things as safe as they can. To run the race the ACO needs the co-operation of the local council, police, residents etc.

I agree - I was very happy to see the police patrolling the campsites this year and, for us, a total absence of pikeys!
