I was on my way from the Chattanooga Choo Choo to the JD distillery today when I happened across a car show in some small town. In case anyone is interested, I've stuck a few pics on Webshots. Dunno if they were all broken down, but they all seem to have the hood and trunk open (oooh listen to me, going all local) Please don't bother asking me any details about what's what, I have no idea. But I expect Mr Brown will know. I've enjoyed all the tales from LM. It's been good to be able to keep up to date. I'm having a great time out here, it's extraordinarily hot but I'm taking plenty of fluids Hope the link works... http://travel.webshots.com/album/573135237gYIHIE

Just been browsing them myself and I realise that I have a bad habit of lopping off on side or t'other of the pics. Camera has also been through the wars a bit, so just be grateful you lot, no criticisms!!

Cheers Mr Morgan.
I see you managed to spy a couple of Pontiacs in amongst that lot - and a TR6!

From where you ask... look at the TR6. It's got only one whiper left.

I don't care - I'm a racing driver and I'm here to win, not to finish third.

At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!! Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.

They do look like a load of old American cars all parked together. What a coincidence that so many of them have broken down/overheated together. Also it looks like quite a few of them have sagging springs as they're sitting so low. While others have obviously been put together by people who don't know what they're doing as they are sitting far too high. I bet they never cornered well when they were working. Just as well that someone has come along and painted some of them funny colours. Perhaps it's to warn approaching vehicles of the potential danger ahead. If people just got rid of old cars and bought new ones instead, the American car industry wouldn't be in the state that it's in today. Just doesn't make sense

Local car shows in the States (at least in the South), leave the hood open so you can see the engine, etc. and the trunk open, so you can see how clean it is, how original and for a place to display all the paperwork they might have.
This looks like a good little show with a lot of variety!
