“Blue Book” Construction Industry workers never cease to amaze me, whilst all around them their fellow workers in the Industry are being laid off or made redundant, unemployment at a 12 year record high they still act with impunity..
I too am part of the Construction Industry and have been made redundant in the last year (thankfully employed soon after) to be truthful its time to keep your head down and weather this horrendous storm and hope to hell we get out ok on the other side.
Sorry if I appear harsh but they have got what they deserve, it is plain and simple, in employment law employee's cannot strike without ballot, they have, they have been warned and its time to face the consequence, its not as if there is a mass shortage of skilled labour at the moment.
I personally know a lot of skilled men sat at home at the moment who wont give two hoots about the morality of replacing one of the sacked men, keeping a roof over their families heads and putting food on the table far outweighs any moral duty…..perhaps the Lindsay Contractors should have bore that in mind…alas it appears not.

I would agree PP, it does seem a rather foolish time to be taking illegal action and losing your job when over 2 million are looking to replace you!
