I stopped at the news kiosk outside Tower42 on my way to work this morning to pick up a copy of Autosport for the Le Mans Guide. There was a guy in front of me at the till so I went to flick through the pull out....but it wasn't there 

I asked the couple running the kiosk if they had any spare copies rather than search the ones on the shelf, they asked why so I explained about the pull out I was looking for. The lady rummaged through the rubbish and asked "this?" 

They had thought the pull out's were trash advertising literature, so pulled them all out and threw them away    OK its not the CA Guide, but I always give it a quick check in the build up to departure.

I pointed out the error of their ways and they duly started retrieving the disgarded guides for replacing back into the magazines.

Point to note - Check the guide is in the magazine before you buy it!

Hmmmm That's a step in hte right direction.  l they used to publish the Guide the week of the race. So you coul donly get it at the Circuit.

Though I still prefer the CA Guide.

It makes a change from the guide being lifted by people who are too mean to pay for the mag', I suppose (and yes, I know at least one who specialises in this.)

I just went to pick up a copy from a popular supermarket - and of the 10 mags in stock - none had the Le Mans guide in..

Maybe they've given up on it as it seems to be a major shadow of it's former self.

No, they havent. Haymarket are pulling some strings on PH. You can enter a competition where 6 people... no, 5 people + ME will be allowed into the Aston garage on saturday evening... if the're capable of doing that. It's in the Le Mans section on the PH forum. Good luck.
