Just shows you that the idiots are still calling the shots when they kill Pontiac and keep Buick.

Buicks are sold to 85 year olds that pay MSRP and can't hear the car falling apart.

Too true.  The yanks never really indulged in the awful badge engineering we had here, but you knew where you were - the MG had 10 extra horsepower, and the Vanden Plas had veneer & leather etc.

I've never been able to work out the difference between the brands of GM as theres a lot of overlap, but Pontiac seem to be Riley, and Buick is Wolseley perhaps.  The italians have had the same problem, trying to fit Lancia, Alfa and Maserati between Fiat and Ferrari.  We proved it doesn't work here either
