Well the grid should be full........
Porsche :Its pretax profit for the 2007-2008 year was nearly 8.6 billion euros ($11 billion) — a 46 percent gain from the previous year's 5.8 billion euros.
 Porsche could fill all the spots if needed and still have change.

On the past qualifying times counting on the wednesday, just type "le mans pole" or "le mans qualifying" into Google and there are plenty of references - pole last year and this year was set by Peugeot on the second Wednesday evening session.

Times set on Wednesday have counted for grid postion in the past I think?

This is my memory also but I stand to be corrected....
