Hey all,
I got this email a few days ago.
I work for an agency that produces the inflight magazine for a small UK based airline. In the issue that we are currently working on we are doing a feature on the Le Mans 24 hour race. I was browsing through Flickr and saw some of your photos for the event and was just wondering what your terms and conditions for inclusion of one of your photos might be? We haven’t picked any images as yet but it never hurts to start checking!
i replied with this.
Dear Sally,
I am flattered that you are interested in my photos. I have had some of my Le Mans pictures printed in a calendar but it was for fund raising so i am unsure what to ask for compensation. If you could let me know what you typically offer for this sort of thing that would be very helpful. My terms would be that I would keep the right to reprint the photo, digitally, or physically and I would keep the right to sell it in the future. Let me know if this is alright. if you want some additional information regarding the actual race that could be very valuable to your readers,
www.club-arnage.com puts out a guide every year that is considered to be THE definitive guide to Le Mans. this is the project page where they are compiling the 2008 guide. there are links to the past years guides.

i have a feeling that maybe they already knew about club arnage. It would be great to have one of my pictures printed, but i think they might find better stuff out there on the net. has anyone else gotten offers like this before? if anyone else has had experience in this area i would love to hear what you have done.
these are my pictures from 2007
